AESM welcomes Rachel Kumar, our 7th physiotherapist at AESM.  Rachel has been working as a physio for the last several years in different Toronto physiotherapy clinics, where she's built her skills in treating orthopedic injuries.  She's also a fitness instructor, and is pursuing her certification in Pilates....

The AESM team raised $4750 in the Walk for Kids Help Phone on May 2, 2010.  Kids Help Phone is a charity that runs hotlines so kids in distress have someone to talk to about issues such as bullying, divorce and abuse.  In 3 years, AESM has raised over $13 000 for Kids Help. AESM welcomes 2 new physiotherapists: Kim Jelly and Hussein Karim. Kim is a veteran of physiotherapy, having been head therapist at 2 multidisciplinary clinics in Toronto.  She is certified in Active Release Technique as well as acupuncture.  Kim is at our downtown location 3 days per week.  Hussein is a graduate of Australia's Masters in Manipulative Therapy program, and is also certified in acupuncture.  He is at our Boulevard location 2 days per week....

The AESM team is walking so kids can talk, about difficult issues that kids face every day.Kids Help Phone is an organization dedicated to helping kids at risk, through their 24 hour hotline, and other initiatives.  The Walk for Kids Help Phone is an annual event, and over the last 2 years, AESM has helped raise over $8000 for this great cause. AESM massage therapist Nancy Laythorpe will be be taking care of athletes from around the world as one of the therapists at the Olympics, Vancouver 2010.  We're proud of Nancy's accomplishment, being chosen as one of a select group of therapists from around the country to represent Canada's sports medicine elite.  GO CANADA!...

AESM Athletic Therapist Tanya Dei Tigli will be the therapist travelling with Canada's National Figure Skating Team to the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, to be held from Jan 25 to Jan 31 in Jeonju, South Korea. Tanya is proud to be representing AESM and Canada at this International Championship....

AESM is now the official Canadian health care team for the Minnesota Swarm. The Swarm play professional indoor lacrosse in the NLL (the National Lacrosse League), playing against such teams as the Toronto Rock.  AESM will be providing preseason physicals as well as ongoing care for injured players throughout the season.  Tanya Dei Tigli, our Athletic Therapist, and Dr. Grant Lum, our medical director, are the primary professionals involved....

Tanya is an Athletic Therapist, having worked with such pro teams as the Montreal Impact Soccer Club.  She has also completed 5 years of Osteopathic training, and is currently doing her final research project towards completion of her certification.  She has great expertise in treating complex, multijoint issues.Tanya is working with Dr. Lum as a consultant to the Minnesota Swarm Lacrosse Team, in the National Lacrosse League....

AESM welcomes Pam Honeyman to the team at AESM downtown.  Pam is a 15 year veteran of the physiotherapy clinical world, with a wide range of skills including acupuncture and manual therapy.  She specializes in complex conditions requiring the diagnostic skills of a seasoned professional.  Pam is an avid tennis player and golfer.  She will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays....
