About Us

Athletic Edge Sports Medicine is a multidisciplinary clinic in the heart of the financial district of Toronto.  We provide a number of services to help you keep playing whatever sport you play, or keep doing whatever activity you do.

Our team of professionals has provided care to athletes at the professional level, including the NHL, NFL, CFL, NBA and Major League Baseball.  We take that same expertise and apply it to all our recreational and elite amateur athletes.

We also have extensive experience in treating dancers and other performing artists.  Our team has worked with such shows as Fame, Rent, Fosse, Miss Saigon, The Lion King, Chicago and Cirque du Soleil.  We continue to work with the Artists’ Health Centre, the National Ballet School, and Toronto Dance Theatre.

Our philosophy and method stress whole person care.

Our 5000 square foot clinic was designed with patient comfort in mind.  11th floor windows onto King St. and York St. give us lots of natural light.  Wood floors and muted colors add to the feeling of calm and healing.

Our founder, Dr. Grant Lum, has been involved in sports medicine care at the highest levels for over 15 years.  He is the Team Physician for Squash Canada, and a consultant to the NHL Players’ Assocation.  He is a Lecturer at the University of Toronto, in the Faculty of Medicine.
